Our Functional Skills group has been putting the finishing touches on their “What Is a Story?” topic by exploring how writers create vivid and engaging settings through description. To inspire their writing, students took part in an immersive walk through the nature reserve opposite school, using their senses to gather ideas for describing a woodland setting.
