🌍 World Views: Exploring Christianity and Sikhism

This week, our pupils have been on an exciting journey of discovery as they developed their World Views portfolios, exploring and comparing the beliefs and traditions of Christianity and Sikhism.

Students began by creating KWL (Know, Want to Know, Learned) grids and mind maps to record their existing knowledge and identify areas they wanted to investigate further. They then became researchers, using books, fact sheets and trusted online resources to gather information and deepen their understanding.

Their portfolios have been organised into four key areas: beliefs, practices, symbols and sacred places. Pupils have worked hard to collect accurate information, make comparisons between the two faiths and present their findings through detailed notes, facts and images.

Throughout the project, learners have shown excellent curiosity, resilience and enthusiasm. It has been wonderful to see them asking thoughtful questions, engaging in discussions and developing a greater appreciation of different beliefs and traditions.

We have been incredibly proud of the effort and dedication shown by all pupils. Next week, students will complete their portfolios and reflect on how their understanding of Christianity and Sikhism has developed throughout the project.
