📚 Insight, Creativity and Big Reactions in English! ✨

This week in English has been full of insight, creativity and some unforgettable moments across all groups.

Our iGCSE class has been diving deeper into An Inspector Calls, exploring how carefully chosen language creates meaning and influences audience reactions. As we approach the end of Act 2, students have been captivated by the dramatic twists and revelations, with plenty of surprised reactions along the way.

In Functional Skills, students have begun an exciting new topic, What is a Story? They have been exploring what defines a story, discussing different types of texts and analysing the impact of six-word stories. Students have even started creating their own, showing how powerful just a few carefully chosen words can be.

During tutor sessions, students have been developing their exam skills, focusing on how to effectively summarise texts. Through annotation and note-taking strategies, learners have been building confidence and finding methods that work best for them as they prepare for success.

It has been a fantastic week of thoughtful discussion, creativity and skill development across all areas of English.
