Our students headed outdoors for a scavenger hunt with a difference this week, taking on a series of challenges designed to put their problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills to the test.

The activities included find and collect challenges, where pupils had to explore the outdoor area and track down different natural objects. There were also problem-solving tasks, including designing and building mini shelters using natural materials they could find around them.

Things became even more interesting when the communication challenges began! One task involved pupils working together to get a member of staff from one side of the paddock to the other without the staff member looking. This called for clear instructions, careful planning and plenty of teamwork.

Along the way, there was also time to investigate some of the wildlife around the school grounds, with a particularly impressive caterpillar attracting plenty of attention! 🐛

What stood out most throughout the session was how well everyone worked together. Pupils shared ideas, helped one another with the different challenges and really embraced being part of a team.

There was lots of problem solving, lots of communication and, most importantly, lots of laughter! 😄

A fantastic outdoor session that showed learning doesn't always need to take place in the classroom. 🌳🍂
