Teamwork, Creativity and Our Very Own Olympic Sports!
Last week at the farm, our pupils put their creativity and teamwork to the test by designing their very own Olympic-style sports.
Working in small teams, pupils were challenged to use a variety of everyday materials and resources to invent a new sport that would be enjoyable, inclusive and fun for everyone. They worked together to develop the rules, think about the equipment they needed and consider how the game would be played.
Once their ideas were complete, each team demonstrated their new sport to the rest of the group, explaining the rules before inviting everyone to have a go.
The activity encouraged problem solving, communication, creativity and teamwork, while giving pupils plenty of opportunities to laugh, collaborate and support one another.
We're looking forward to next week's session, when everyone will get the chance to try each other's creations and discover which new Olympic sport becomes the favourite!
